Why are there time limits on meters? Why can't I keep feeding the meter?

Metered parking is at a premium in Mt. Lebanon and as requested by the business owners, meters are restricted for convenient short term parking for business patron and customer use. Long term parking can be found nearby at a lower cost in both garages. Monthly permits may be purchased at an overall discount to the regular rate.
