Purpose / Goals

The Mt. Lebanon Parking Authority was created by the Commission of the Municipality of Mt. Lebanon on February 26, 1954 under the Parking Authority Law of 1947, as amended and supplemented. The Authority was created to acquire, construct, maintain, and operate parking facilities within the Municipality. |

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Mt. Lebanon Parking Authority shall be:
- To recognize that it is a not-for-profit public service organization existing under the Pennsylvania Parking Authority Act and incorporated by the Commission of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
- To provide and/or operate public on and off street parking within the commercial and residential districts of the Municipality consistent with the plans and policies of the Municipality.
- To operate and maintain the parking facilities in a professional manner so as to complement the community and to emphasize a high level of customer service.
- To receive revenues derived from the use of the parking facilities and to use those revenues to maintain, finance, and improve the public parking system.
- To operate the Authority in a fiscally responsible manner consistent with applicable accounting procedures, governing regulations, and contractual obligations.
